Production at Ridho field in Karang Agung block, South Sumatra, operated by PT Odira Energy Karang Agung, which was planned to start this year, is likely to experience delays, according to a senior official of upstream authority SKK Migas.

"Ridho field has yet to come onstream due to PSC's internal problem," SKK Migas' Operation Deputy Muliawan told Petromindo.com, without providing details about the problem.

He said that the problem is still being discussed in the revised 2016 Work Program and Budget (WP&B).

Karang Agung PSC covers an area of 1,967.74 sq km (after first relinquishment), around 70 km northwest of Palembang, South Sumatra?s capital. Odira has completed its first 3 years working commitment consisting of 250 km 2D seismic acquisition in 2007/2008 and drilled 2 exploration wells in 2009 namely Rahmat Well (RMT-01) and Ridho Well (RID-01).

PoD (Plan of Development) of the Ridho field in the Karang Agung block was approved by the government on Oct. 28, 2011.

Odira owns 100 percent interest in the block. According to the sources, the Ridho field can produce around 1,800 barrels of oil per day at first production.
