PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) noted that production at the West Offshore Madura (WMO) block in East Java has reached the level of 17,000 bopd of oil and 130 mmscfd of gas.

Production is expected to further accelerate in the coming months once ongoing construction of undersea pipeline is completed.

?Production at WMO currently has entered the 17,000 bopd and 130 mmscfd levels. The oil and gas production will increase quickly (by an additional of about 3,000 bopd) once the construction of the new undersea pipeline of platform PHE 38B, 54 and 39 have been completed. Hopefully, construction can be completed in mid-June of 2013,? PHE Operational Director, Edi Purnomo told Petromindo.com Thursday.

Edi said that at WMO, drilling of two new wells in PHE 54 field have been completed and ready for production.
