Production from PetroChina?s Betara Gas Plant to peak Nov

Production from PetroChina-operated Betara Gas Plant in Jabung PSC, Jambi is expected to reach peak production of 100 MMCFD of natural gas and 25,000 barrels of natural gas liquids per day, upstream oil and gas authority BPMIGAS said Thursday.

BPMIGAS spokesperson Amir Hamzah said BGP is currently producing sales gas 82.5 MMCFD and 19,000 BPD of liquids. Natural gas produced from the gas complex is exported to Singapore through pipeline.

BGP complex commenced gas production on August 18, 2005.

According to a PetroChina spokesperson, PetroChina and partners spent some US$ 340 million to develop BGP.

PetroChina and Petronas each own 45 percent of the Jabung field, with state oil and gas company Pertamina holding the remaining 10 percent. (godang)
