Upstream authority SKK Migas projected the production at the Bukit Tua field in Ketapang Block, offshore East Java, operated by Malaysia?s Petronas Carigali, will be delayed to March of 2015 from the initial fourth quarter of 2014.

?Currently we are doing an evaluation. The project is facing a problem. Actually, the solution to the problem is not too difficult, but the production time will be postponed until March 2015," Acting Chairman of SKK Migas J. Widjonarko told Petromindo.com.

He explained that the problem is caused by the fact that the installed facility did not get a good carrying capacity of the soil in the field.

SKK Migas Spokesperson Zudaldi Rafdi said that the consequence of the production delay, the target of getting additional 70 mmscfd of gas and 20,000 bpd of oil from the Bukit Tua field will not be realized this year.
