The paper quoted Deputy for Operation Control at upstream oil and gas authority Muliawan as saying that production of Wasambo field, in South Sulawesi, operated by Energy Equity Epic Sengkang, has been delayed to the first quarter of 2017 as production facilities have yet to be completed.
The field is projected to produce 80 mmscfd of gas.
Meanwhile, production at the Matindok field, located in Central Sulawesi and operated by PT Pertamina EP, has been delayed to 2017
Production at the Matindok field has been delayed as members of the consortium assigned to develop production facility have yet to reach ?harmony,? and also due to lingering uncertainty over buyers of the gas output, Muliawan said. Matindok field is expected to produce 65 mmscfd of gas and 500 bpd of oil.
Muliawan, however, said that the Dayung Compresion 2 project (ConocoPhillips), and Karendan (Ophir Energy) have already started production. He said in July that production schedule of the two projects was expected to be pushed back to 2017.
The Dayung Compression 2 project is aimed to expand production capacity from 310 mmscfd to 460 mmscfd, while Karendan project will produce 25 mmscfd of gas and 500 bpd of oil. (*)
