Progress of Jangkrik project exceeds 76%: SKK Migas

The Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) works at the Jangkrik fields in the Muara Bakau block, offshore Makassar Strait, operated by a unit of Italian oil firm Eni SpA., have reached 76.5 percent, according to an official of upstream authority SKK Migas.
?Overall progress of the Jangkrik project until the end of last week had reached 76.5 percent,? Head of the Muara Bakau Project Acceleration Unit at SKK Migas, Eko Hariadi told Petromindo.com.
The Muara Bakau project consists of three main works including EPCI-1, EPCI-2, and Engineering Procurement-3.
Eko said, the project progress is on the track. Production at the block is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2017. The Jangkrik Complex Project Development covers two gas fields, namely Jangkrik and Jangkrik North East. The first is projected to produce an estimated 300 mmscfd, while the second 150 mmscfd.
Eni is the operator of the block with 55 percent of working interest, whereas the other JV partners are GDF Suez Exploration Indonesia, a subsidiary of ENGIE, formerly GDF SUEZ, with 33.334 percent stake and Saka Energi Muara Bakau with 11.666 percent stake.
