State owned electricity firm PT PLN stated that construction progress of the Rajamandala hydropower plant project in Bandung Barat Regency, West Java Province, reached 61.60 per March 2017.

Nasri Sebayang, PLN's Reginal Director for Western part of Java told journalist recently that the commercial operation date (COD) status for this project will be delayed due to the geological condition. "It will be delayed by around 24 months from the (initial) COD target in 2017," Nasri said, but did not provide further details.

The project is developed by PT Rajamandala Electric Power. The power purchase agreement was signed on August 20, 2013, and financial close was made on August 18, 2014. The project was part of the Second Fast Track Program (FTP 2) of the previous government.
