Prosperity starts Aceh gold drilling program

Australian junior mining firm Prosperity Resources Limited announced on Wednesday that it has commenced a diamond drilling program at the Pala Prospect of the Pinang-Pinang gold copper project in Aceh province.

An initial, shallow scout 3,000 metre drilling program is planned using a Drillcorp manportable diamond coring rig, the company said.

Grid-based HQ diamond core holes are planned at 40 metre collar spacings along five 80 meter spaced, northeast trending section lines. A number of holes will be completed at 60 and 80 meter collar spacing due to topographic constraints, it said.

The company had completed the trenching program and it defined very strong (+/-1g/t gold) soil anomalies at the Pala prospect. (denny)
