Protect to diversifies into electricity sector

IDX-listed PT Protech Mitra Perkasa Tbk, which is primarily engaged in the construction of telecommunication base transceiver stations, plans to diversify into construction business in the electricity sector as the country seeks to develop more power plants, Investor Daily reported on Tuesday.
Protech President Director Anton Santoso said that the company is still looking for construction opportunities in the electricity sector, but stressed that construction of telecom tower will continue to be its main focus.
He did not provide details about the diversification plans. Protech on Monday listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, following an initial public offering raising Rp 30.4 billion in proceeds. (*)
