PT Arun successfully achieves export target

Speaking at the closing-of-the year shipment on Tuesday, Vice President Director of PT Arun T. Fachruddin said that the company’s average production reached 39,500 cubic meter per day for LNG and 25,400 barrels per day for condensate.
This year’s final shipment was launched in a ceremony, which was also attended by local leaders including North Aceh regent. It was the 3,815th shipment since the company began its export in 1978.
Fachruddin said that this year’s LNG export comprised of 115 cargoes – 61 of which were shipped to Japan and the other 54 cargoes were shipped to Korea.
In 2004, PT Arun will, under existing contracts, will export 110 cargoes of LNG to both Japan and Korea. “It is a challenge now for Arun to meet the target because a continued decline in the gas supply,” Fachruddin said. (*)
