PT Badak teams up with Mulawarman University to develop local human resources

Natural gas producer PT Badak NGL has teamed up with East Kalimantan Mulawarman University to help develop the human resources in the Bontang area particularly in the agriculture field, the local Kaltim Post daily reported on Wednesday.
The paper said that this was part of efforts to make the company?s community development program more effective.
?Please benefit (from our program). PT Badak is opening its door wide open to all of you,? company general manager Suhardi told hundreds of Sekambing villagers during a gathering.
Sekambing is one of the various villages in the Bontang area which had benefited from Badak?s community development program. From a remote village with no significant economic activities, Sekambing has now become a village with well-developed agriculture sector producing various cash crops and other farming products. (*)
