PT International Nickel Indonesia (Inco) is studying a plan to build a nickel mine and processing plant in Bahodopi, Central Sulawesi.

?We are committed to fulfilling our Contract of Works obligation to build a plant in Bahodopi. We are now considering its economic viability and efficiency,? PT Inco?s CEO Arif S. Siregar told reporters on Wednesday, providing no further details.

Meanwhile, the company said in a statement that the company?s extraordinary shareholders meeting had agreed to appoint Murilo Ferreira as president commissioner to replace Peter C. Jones and Mark Cutifani and Leonardo Moretzsohn as new commissioners replacing Robert J. Davies and Ronald C. Aelick who resigned from the posts.

Arif said the reshuffle in the board of commissioners would bring no changes to the operational policies. (Bernard)
