PT.Inco records 2003 production increase

Canadian nickel miner Inco Limited said on Tuesday that its Indonesian unit PT.Inco Indonesia had recorded production of 155 million pounds of nickel-in-matte in 2003, or 15 percent increase from previous year, exceeding its annual design capacity of 150 million pounds.
The company said PT.Inco was targeting even higher matte production in 2004, but failed to give details.
PT. Inco operates huge nickel mining operations in South Sulawesi. Inco Limited holds 58.7 percent shares in PT. Inco. (alex)
