PT KAI sets up three railway stations to facilitate coal transport

State-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will set up three railway stations to facilitate coal transport from the Cirebon port in West Java to Bandung (West Java capital) and Cilacap (Central Java), Bisnis Indonesia daily reported Thursday.

?We have prepared three stations including Prujakan, Cilegal (Indramayu Regency), and Cipedang for coal transport from Cilegon Port to Bandung and Cilacap,? said Public Relations Head of the KAI?s Region III office.

He said that coal transport via railway is cheaper, and will help avoid traffic load and is safer to the environment. No further details were provided. (*)
