PT Kaltim Prima Coal receives working safety award

Major coal producer PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) which operates coal mining concessions in Sanggata, East Kalimantan, has received awards in the form of ?A? Trophy and Golden Aditama Certificate from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for its success in promoting working safety and health standards within the company.

For Trophy, KPC falls in the category of A-class recipients which also include Newmont Gold Company, Freeport and Kelian Equatorial Mining, KPC said. The Golden Aditama Certificate was given after the company recorded the largest scores in the quality of the working safety and health system.

The evaluation was made through questioners sent to the company on policy, operational standard and procedures of the working safety and health programs adopted by the company. (*)
