PT Kvaener and Santa Fe Energy to work on Betara Complex

Kvaerner, the Anglo-Norwegian engineering and construction group, announced that PT Kvaerner Indonesia has received a Letter of Intent from Santa Fe Energy Resources Jabung Ltd for the execution of Front End Engineering Design Services (FEED) for the Betara Complex Development in Jambi Province, Sumatra.

The Betara Complex involves the installation of major oil & gas producing and processing facilities to produce approximately 130 MMSCFD of sales gas, 15,700 bpd of crude oil, 12,700 bpd of condensate and 12,700 bpd of LPG. Kvaerner will optimise the design and project schedule and produce the technical input for the EPC tender package.

The entire work leading to preparation of the technical components of EPC tender documents is scheduled for completion in 8 months.

PT Gema SemBrown and PT McConnell Dowell will provide necessary support in constructibility reviews and local construction costs in developing the EPC cost estimate for the onshore gas processing facilities and pipelines respectively.
