PT Pertamina Drilling obtains ISO 9001:2000 certification

PT Pertamina Drilling Services has received an ISO 9001:2000 certification from PT SGS Indonesia for its success to adopt the international standard of the quality management system implemented in manufacturing and service industries, Suara Karya reported on Monday.

Joni Salim, a representative of SGS, said that the ISO 9001:2000 certification was awarded to PT Pertamina Drilling Services after the company was proven to be able to meet the quality management standards set by the International Standardization Organization (ISO).

"The company has been able to provide services in accordance with the needs of customers," he said during the handover of the certification to the management of PT Pertamina Drilling Services.

Director of Pertamina's upstream department, Hari Kustoro, congratulated the success of the management of the Pertamina Drilling Services in obtaining the ISO 9001:2000 certifcation. But he warned maintaining the quality management service in line with the ISO standards would be more difficult. (*)
