PT Pertamina EP finds oil in Jatibarang field

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has discovered two oil wells in Jatibarang field Sumaradem village, Sukra district, Indramayu regency, West Java.

The firm said the two oil wells located in MLD-A 07 exploration area may each produce 300 barrels per day of oil.

?There are seven wells at MLD-A 07 area, but only two of them have oil and gas potentials. The other five wells either do not have potentials or have potentials but the potentials are too small,? Jatibarang Field Manager Ceppy Agung Kurniawan said.

He said the Jatibarang field is targeted to produce up to 7,200 bpd by the end of this year.

Jatibarang is one of the oldest fields owned by Pertamina.
