PT Pertamina EP spuds RNT-PA-4 well

PT Pertamina EP said it had started to spud RNT-PA4 well in Rantau field at Rantau village of Rantau district in Aceh Tamiang regency, about 10 kilometers east of Kuala Simpang, as part of its 2012 drilling program.

The RNT-PA4 well is being spudded with Rig CWKT210B/2A which has a capacity of 400 HP and owned by Pertamina Drilling Service. According to its plan the well will be spudded up to a depth of 750 meter MD (measured depth) within a timeframe of 17 days since 3rd April 2012.

The drilling is aiming to produce hydrocarbon in the Rantau structure, especially on the Z-600 layer, and later once the RNT-PA4 be in production it will become P-415.

Rantau Field Manager, Jayasuria Danuatmaja asked all workers involved in the drilling to seriously pay attention to the principles of Health Safety and Environment in implementing the drilling job.

He also asked for the support from all officials of the local administration so that the project could be realized according to plan.

Aceh Tamiang Regent Abdul Latif welcomes the development of the project, saying that it will become a source of income to both the national government as well as to the local administration.
