PT PLN (Persero) Pembangkitan Tanjung Jati B: Invitation to re-tender for LCV Coal

Represented by its internal strategic business unit, PT PLN (PERSERO) PEMBANGKITAN TANJUNG JATI B, now invites coat mining companies (?bidder?) to participate In the re-tender for the supply of LCV (Low Calorific Value) Operating Coal for Tanjung Jati B Steam Power Plant located in Jepara, Central Java.

1 Bidder is requested to propose a coal (?Proposed Coal?) for 500,000 up to 1,000,000 metric tons per annum for a period of five (5) years commencing from January 2007 as tentative schedule. Bidder is also requested to propose more than five (5) years supply as a PLN?s option.

2 Calorific Value of the Proposed Coal by the Bidder shall be above (higher than) 5,100 kcal/kg on Gross As Received basis (the Reject Limit).

3 Terms of Delivery is FOB stowed and trimmed basis, with a Bidder?s guaranteed loading rate at Port of Loading. CIF Price shall also be quoted as a PLN?s option for the 5 -year period, using handymax or panamax size of vessel (up to 70,000 DWT).

4 Bidder shall satisfy the minimum requirement, including but not limited to the following:

a. The Bidder shall be a coal mining company registered under the law of Indonesia in possession of the necessary Coal Concession Agreement(s) with the relevant Government Authorities for the mining area, In the form of a Coal Contract of Work (PKP2B = Perjanjian Kerjasama Pengusahaan Pertambangan Batubara) or Mining Authorization (KP = Kuasa Pertambangan) as well as the AMDAL approved by the relevant Government Authority.

b. The Bidder shall, for at least the last 12 months be a reliable Supplier, with a proven minimum actual 500,000 tonnes of coal delivered during the year 2005.

Interested companies may get more information and purchase the RFP (Request for Proposal) document at the cost of Rp 3,000,000 (Three Million Indonesian Rupiah) starting from 18 May 2006 at 09.00-15.00 WIST, at the following address:
