PT Vale considers buying electricity from Poso plant

IDX-listed PT Vale Indonesia is considering to buy electricity from the Poso hydro power plant if the company decides to build a nickel ore refinery in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, Bisnis Indonesia reported Thursday.
PT Vale Indonesia President Director Nicolaas Kanter said that the planned refinery facility will require a huge electricity supply of 90-100 MW.
The 195 MW Poso power plant, located in the same regency, is expected to start commercial operation this year. The plant is owned by the Kalla Group. (*)
