PTBA agrees to supply additional 14.6 MTPA to PLN

IDX-listed coal miner PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) has agreed to supply coal under long-term sales and purchase agreement to state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for 15 units of PLN?s coal-fired power plants in Aceh, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi provinces.
Under the agreement, PTBA will supply 262.6 million tons of coal starting Jan 2013 until 31 Dec 2030 to PLN with price renegotiated annually.
For this year, PTBA has agreed to supply 2.3 million tons (?10%) of coal with a price of Rp727.302 per ton (CIF) for PLN?s 15 power plants.
The 15 PLTUs are PLTU NAD, Nagan Raya, PLTU Labuan Angin, PLTU 1 Riau, Bengkalis, PLTU Sumbar, Teluk Sirih, PLTU 3 Bangka, Bangka Baru, PLTU Lampung, Tanjung Selaki, PLTU 4 Bangka, Belitung, PLTU 1 Jabar, Indramayu, PLTU 1 NTB, Bima, PLTU 2 NTT, Kupang, PLTU 1 Kalbar, Parit Baru, PLTU 2 Kalbar, Bengkayan, PLTU Sulsel, Baru, PLTU Gorontalo, Anggrek, PLTU Sulut, Amurang.
Currently, PTBA supplies around 8.1MTPA of coal to three PLN?s power plants namely Suralaya in Banten, Bukit Asam in South Sumatra and Tarahan in Lampung.
