PTBA clinches coal price deal to Bukit Asam power plant

IDX-listed state coal miner PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) said on Tuesday it had clinched a deal on price for coal to be sold to the 4 x 65 MW Bukit Asam-coal fired power plant in South Sumatra owned by state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).
PTBA corporate secretary Eko Budhiwijayanto told Petromindo.Com. that the firm will sell its coal to Bukit Asam at Rp 470,750 (US$= Rp 10,224) per ton this year, as aganst Rp 325,000 per ton in previous year
PTBA has agreed to supply 1.1 million tons of coal to the Bukit Asam power plant this year, the same as last year.
He also said that the firm had also reached agreement with PLN on the new price for the 2x100-MW Tarahan coal-fired power plant in Lampung. The new price had been fixed at Rp 525,000 per ton from 436,500 per ton last year.
For Tarahan power plant, PTBA will supply 800,000 ton per year. (godang)
