PTBA close to acquire Kalimantan coal mine

IDX-listed state coal miner PT.Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) has identified one Kalimantan coal mine as acquisition target out of five mines it selected in 2008.
Corporate Secretary Eko Budhiwijayanto told Kontan daily that the acquisition might be completed this month.
He did not give further detail.
Last year, PTBA acquired 51 percent shares of East Kalimantan coal mining firm PT.International Prima Coal for US$17.85 million. (*)
