PTBA coal production increase 12% in Q1

IDX-listed coal company PT Bukit Asam (PTBA) reported that its coal production increased 12 percent to 3,37 million ton in first quarter this year compared to the same period of 3,1 million tons in 2011
The company in its quarterly report said that the sales volume of coal also increased by 26 percent to 3,86 million tons in the first quarter this year from 3 million in 2011.
As of March, PTBA purchased 0.36 million tons coal.
PTBA, the only state-owned coal miner secured a net profit Rp 867.35 billion in the first three month of this year, a 14 percent increase from Rp 760.33 billion in the same period last year.
With such performance, the company is optimistic to meet target of coal sales of 18.67 million tons and production of 17.42 million ton this year.
