PTBA coal sales to Japan up

IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) says it will supply 1.65 million tonnes of coal to Japanese buyers this year.

The company?s corporate secretary Achmad Sudarto told Petromindo.Com. on Friday there were 150,000 tonnes of additional coal for this year from last year?s coal sales of 1.5 million tonnes to Japan after earthquake and tsunami hit Japan recently.

He did not identify the Japanese buyer.

According to Petromindo.Com data, PTBA?s Japanese customers include Idemitsu Kosan and Nippon Oil. (godang)
