PTBA in coal supply talks with Napocor

State coal mining firm PT.Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) said on Tuesday it was currently on talks with Philippine?s state electricity firm National power Corp. (Napocor) over long-term coal supply.
CEO Soekrisno told Petromindo.Com that thus far no conclusion had been reached regarding the volume, length of contract or price.
Currently, PTBA supplies 1-2 barges of coal with volume of 5,000 tonnes per barge to Napocor, Soekrisno said.
Phillipines? Inquirer.net reported on Friday that Napocor, backed by the country?s Department of Energy has held negotiations with PTBA for 500,000 metric tons of coal that can be delivered when need arises.
The deal is still being finalized, Energy Undersecretary Guillermo Balce said in a recent interview.(denny/godang)
