PTBA, Indonesia Power agree on 2009 coal supply price

State coal mining firm PTBA said it had agreed on 2009 coal price to Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state electricity firm PLN that runs the 3,400-MW Suralaya power plant in Banten.
CEO Soekrisno told reporters on Tuesday that both parties had principally agreed on Rp.884, 000 per tonne CIF with the volume of 6.1 million for next year. Soekrisno said formal agreement would be signed soon.
The new price is higher than the Rp.617, 900 per tonne Indonesia Power paid to PTBA in 2008. (denny)
