PTBA, Indonesia Power agree on Suralaya coal price

IDX-listed state coal mining firm PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam said on Friday it had completed price negotiation with PT.Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state lectrocity firm PLN, over coal supply price to the latter?s Suralaya 3,400-MW power plant in Banten.
PTBA CEO Soekrisno told petromindo.Com that Suralaya would pay RP.484,000 (US$=Rp.9,500) per tonne CIF for PTBA?s coal starting January 1, 2008 or about 28 percent higher than last year?s price.
Soekrisno said PTBA would ship 5.1 million tonnes of coal to Suralaya this year. (godang)
