PTBA invites bidders to participate in pre-qualification to build S. Sumatra mine-mouth power plant

1. PT Tambang Batubara BukitAsam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) public coal mining company having registered office at Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, plans to develop power generating internal facility (mine-mouth coal-fired steam power plant) with net capacity of 3 x 10 MW, for provisioning reliable supply of electricity into the coal mining operation.

 

2. In line with the plan PTBA Intends to pre-qualify contractors for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (“EPC") works for the Plant (the “Project”).

 

3. The Project will be located in Tanjung Enim, the Regency of Muara Enim, South Sumatra Province,  which is approximately 200 km south of Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra Province.

 

4. Those who are interested in participating in the pre-qualification for the Project may obtain pre-qualification document (the “PQ Document”) between 09.00 am. to 04.00 p.m. Jakarta time during a period starting on and including 6^th September 2007 until and including on 13^th September 2007, upon the submission of a written request to the address below for the attention of the Procurement Committee, and upon cash payment of a non - refundable fee of Rp 1.000.000,- or transfer to:

5. The requirements for pre-qualification and procedures for submissions of applications for pre-qualification will be contained in the PQ Document.

 

6. Applications for pre-qualification must be submitted to and received at the address below not later than 04.00 p.m. Jakarta time on 26^th October2007.

 

7. Applicant for pre-qualification will be advised, in due course, of the results of evaluations on its application. Only qualified applicants that have passed pre-qualification will be invited to bid.

 

8. The participant of this PQ may be a single company, a Joint Venture or a Joint Operation Company and each member has experience and built of coal tired steam power plant for the last 10 years.
