PTBA, PGN sign MoU on CBM

State gas distribution firm PGN and State coal mining firm PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) on Sunday signed an MoU to jointly develop coal-bed methane (CBM) potential at PTBA?s mining concession in South Sumatra.
The MoU was signed in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra by both companies? CEOs and witnessed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro and Minster State Enterprises Sugiharto.
Purnomo said that CBM exploited under the cooperation scheme would be used to supply PGN?s Sumatra to Java pipeline grid.
According to CEO Sukrisno, PTBA has CBM potential of 2.6TCF at its South Sumatra mining concession. (godang)
