Indonesia-listed state coal miner PT Bukit Asam (Persero) announced on Friday that it has reached deal to sell coal to state electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) at Rp.825,000 (CIF) (US$=Rp.9,200) per ton for 2012.

The new price is 1.21 percent higher than last year?s price of Rp.815,000 per ton, the company said.

The new price will be effective from February 1 to December 31, 2012, the company added.

PTBA is in long term coal supply contract with PLN. Under the contract, PTBA supplies 6.1 million tons of coal per annum - with a plus minus 10 percent swing - from its mine in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, to Suralaya power plant operated by PLN?s subsidiary PT Indonesia Power, in Banten province.
