PTBA, PLN to conclude coal price negotiation for Bukit Asam, Tarahan plants

IDX-listed coal miner PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) is still in talks with state electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) over 2010 coal price for the latter?s two power plants in Sumatra
PTBA Corporate Secretary Achmad Sudarto said price negotiation for PLN?s Bukit Asam 4x65 MW plat in South Sumatra and Tarahan 2x100 MW in Lampung could be concluded by the end of this month.
Sudarto said PTBA was asking for 10 percent increase over last year?s price.
Under the long-term deal, PTBA will supply 1.1-1.2 million tonnes of coal to Bukit Asam and 750,000-800,000 tonnes to Tarahan in 2010.
Last year, PTBA charged Bukit Asam Rp.470, 750 (US$=Rp.9, 300) per tonne and Rp.525, 000 per tonne for Tarahan. (denny)
