PTBA raises coal price to Suralaya by 13.4%

State-owned coal miner PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) has increased its selling price for the 3,400-MW Suralaya power plant in Banten by 13.4 percent to Rp 617,900 (1US$ = Rp 9,225) per ton from July through December 2008.

The company will sell 2.8 million tons of coal to the power plant during the July-December period, PTBA said in statement on Monday.

PTBA agreed to ship 5.1 million tons of coal to Suralaya this year.

Suralaya is a unit of PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). (denny)
