PTBA?s E. Kalimantan mine starts production

IDX-listed state coal miner said on Monday that its East Kalimantan coal mining unit PT Indonesia Prima Coal (IPC) has started production last week.
PTBA Corporate Secretary Achmad Sudarto told Petromindo.Com that the mine, which is located in Kutai Kartanegara regency, will produce 300,000 tonnes this year and 1.5MT next year.
Sudarto said coal produced will be sold to domestic and export market.
He said earlier that IPC is in coal supply talks with cement maker PT Semen Gresik. He also said that PTBA?s trading subsidiary PT Bukit Asam Prima will also buy coal from IPC. (bernard)
