PTBA?s first eight-month output totals 11.3m tons

IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) said that coal output in the January-August period reached 11.3 million tons, or 43.8 percent of the full-year target.

This was said by PTBA Corporate Secretary Ubaidillah as quoted by kontan.co.id on Friday. This year, the company has set coal production to increase by 34 percent to 25.75 million tons from 19.24 million tons last year.

The bulk 24.7 million tons will come from its Tanjung Enim mine in South Sumatra, while the remainders from Ombilin mine also in South Sumatra, Peranap mine in Riau, and from subsidiary PT International Prima Coal in East Kalimantan.

Sales volume for this year is targeted to jump by 52 percent to 29.17 million tons from 19.17 million tons last year. (*)
