PTBA?s subsidiary ships coal to China

IDX-listed state coal mining firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) said its East Kalimantan coal subsidiary PT International Prima Coal (IPC) produced 150,000 tonnes of coal last year and the mine is expected to produce 1.5 million tonnes this year..
Corporate Secretary Achmad Sudarto told reporters on Wednesday that the mine, which started production September last year, has shipped several barges of coal to power plant customer in China. He did not give detail.
He also said that IPC is supplying coal to state cement maker PT Semen Gresik.
He said production from IPC will be prioritized to meet domestic market.
PTBA has 51 percent stake in IPC. (bernard)
