PTBA?s Tarahan power plant to be completed this year

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) hopes that construction of the 2x8MW Tarahan coal-fired power plant will be completed and start operation this year.
The company revealed in its 2012 annual report on Wednesday that as of end of last year, about 78.1 percent of the targeted construction work has been completed. The power plant will be fueled by low CV coal.
Once completed, the Tarahan power plant would supply the entire electricity requirement of the Tarahan coal port, which has so far been supplied by state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
