PTBA sees production of 50MMCFD from CBM block

IDX-listed state coal miner PT Bukit Asam TBk (PTBA) may produce 50 MMCFD of CBM gas from its Tanjung Enim CBM PSC in 2013.
The company said in a statement released Monday that block?s partnership had drilled one core well within the PSC and may start producing gas at small volume in 2011.
According to the company, the block has 0.8 TCF of gas in place.
PTBA, together with Pertamina?s upstream arm PT Pertamina Hulu Energi equally shared 27.5 percent stake in the block with the balance owned by Australian firm Dart Energy.
On April 1, 2011, the company, together with partner PT Inti Gas Energi, has also been awarded Sijunjung CBM block in West Sumatra which is analyzed to contain 1 TCF of gas. (alex)
