PTBA sets up new indirect subsidiary

IDX-listed coal giant PT Bukit Asam has set up a new indirect subsidiary primarily engaged in operation and maintenance (O&M) of coal fired power plants.

PTBA said in a statement Monday that its subsidiary PT Bukit Energy Investama had on July 30 set up PT Bukit Energy Sewis Terpadu, which will support the company's power plants, projected to reach a combined capacity of 1,500MW in 2019.

The new O&M unit, 99.28 percent owned by PTBA and the rest by company foundation, will also provides service to power plants owned by other firms.
