State coal miner PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) has reduced its coal sales forecast for this year to 13.2 million tons from 14.5 million tons.

President Director Sukrisno told reporters on Monday that the reason for the decline is the weakening demand from customers

The firm's total output will reach 12 million tons this year, he added.

The firm's coal production for January-June period this year reached 5.6 million tons. The company is seeking to acquire a coal mine in Kalimantan. (godang)
