The groundbreaking ceremony for this facility took place in Tanjung Enim on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Additionally, there are two Conveyor Systems, one 13 kilometers long and the other 17 kilometers long, both with a capacity of 3,000 tons per hour. This development is part of a collaboration between PTBA and state railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (KAI) for the development of coal transportation between Tanjung Enim and Keramasan. PT KAI provides the transportation infrastructure via railway, while KAI subsidiary PT Kereta Api Logistik (Kalog) is responsible for the dock facilities in Keramasan.

The coal transportation between Tanjung Enim and Keramasan is expected to increase PTBA's coal transport capacity to 20 million tons per year.

PTBA did not say when the project will be completed.
