PTBA, Tai Power in supply renewal talks

State coal mining firm PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) said it was currently negotiating term contract renewal with Tai Power Corp, which will expire this year.
Corporate Secretary Milawarma said that the contract renewal would have the volume of 300,000-500,000 tonnes PA.
He did not give further detail.
He said that PTBA is also in talks to supply coal to South Korea?s Kepco for unspecified volume.
Milawarma said that the company?s export would increase from 2.8 million tonnes (MT) this year to 3.2-3.5MT, as the company hoped to be able to increase production due to better condition of railway service that carried PTBA?s coal.
Milawarma said PTBA would produce 9.5-9.6MT and predicted a 10 percent increase in 2007 production.(godang)
