President director of state-owned coal miner PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Sukrisno said on Thursday that the company plans to hold dewatering in May in one drilling hole at its Tanjung Enim CBM block in South Sumatra.
The company initially set a target for the CBM block to start commercial operation in early 2013, but the company is making efforts for the block to be able to start production at the end of 2012.
Currently, PTBA together with PT Pertamina EP each has a 27.5 percent interest in the Tanjung Enim CBM block with Australian firm Arrow Energy, which is the block?s operator, has the remaining balance. The block was awarded in 2009. (giok)
