PTBA to develop coal gasification project in Tanjung Enim

IDX-listed coal company PT Bukit Asam, Tbk (PTBA) has planned to develop a coal gasification plant in Tanjung Enim with the total investment of US$ 1.5 billion.
Saiful Islam, Senior Manager Corporate Planning of PTBA, told Petromindo.com that the project is still on the feasibility study.
He added that the firm plans to build a coal gasification plant with the processing capacity of 1.5 million tons of coal per year with ammonia gas as output. He, however, didn't disclose the output volume.
He said that if everything goes as planned, the project is expected to start production in 2017-2018
