PTBA to increase coal production by 15% in 2010

IDX-listed state coal mining company PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) said Wednesday that it planned to produce 17.82 million of coal next year, 15% higher compared to this year?s target of 15.5 million.

PTBA?s President Director Sukrisno said that next year, the company would increase export portion to 40% from currently 30% of total production.

PTBA?s coal production for January-June period this year reached 5.6 million tons. The company is still looking for another mine acquisition in Kalimantan. (*)
