PTBA to pay dividend

State coal miner PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) will pay Rp.233.5 billion (US$-Rp.8, 800) dividend to its shareholders, or 50 percent of 2005 net profit, Corporate Secretary Milawarma said.

The 2005 dividend is 11 percent higher compared to that of 2004, said Milawarma.

Milawarma said that the company?s extraordinary shareholders meeting has agreed that dividends of Rp.101.35 per shares will be distributed to shareholders on June 16.

PTBA is operating coal mine in South Sumatra with annual output of a little below 10 million tones per year. The company is selling most of its production to Suralaya power plant in Banten. (godang)
