PTBA to supply 520,000 tons of coal to Malaysia's Queda Corp. this year

State coalminer PT Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) will supply 520,000 tons of coal to Malaysia this year according to a contract it has signed with Malaysian trading company Queda Corporation, Sdn. Bhd, South Sumatra-based Sriwijaya Post daily reported Friday.
The coal would be used as a source of energy for several power plants and cement factories in Malaysia, Queda?s operations manager Jamil Ali told reporters in Palembang Thursday. The plants also used coal from China, he added.
Queda was considering to buy more coal from South Sumatra this year, Jamil said. (*)
