PTBA wins power plant contract

State-owned coal firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam has won the contract to build the Banjarsari mine mouth power project in South Sumatra, according to a senior official of state owned electricity firm PT PLN.
?PT BA has won the contract,? PLN?s director for power generation and primary energy Ali Herman Ibrahim said on Tuesday.
The construction of the 2x100 MW power plant is estimated to cost US$203 million.
Ali also said PLN had elected Barata Group as the winner of the contract to build a 2x65 MW mine mouth power plant in South Kalimantan.
The power firm has also named Meta Epsi Group as the winner of the contract to build a 2x25 MW power plant in West Kalimantan. (Alex)
