Puma Energy to build fuel storage

Puma Medco Petroleum, a joint venture company between Medco Energi Indonesia and Puma Energy, currently is under negotiation to acquire a land bank in Samarinda for a planned fuel storage.
?We are planning to build fuel storage in Samarinda to provide High Speed Diesel (HSD) needs for East Kalimantan region?, said Adrian Phillimore, Director of Puma Energy to petromindo.com. Puma needs around five hectares of land for the planned 15 million liters of storage with jetty capability.
?We have committed to our partners that we are going to spend around US$100 million on infrastructure projects in particular for Indonesia?s mining downstream sector,? added Phillimore.
Puma Energy?s operation in Indonesia began in October 2012 when it acquired 63.88 percent shares of PT Medco Sarana Kalibaru (MSK) from PT Medco Energi Internasional. MSK possessed two fuel storages in Palembang in South Sumatera and Tanjung Priok Port of Jakarta, where now both are under the management of Puma.
Its storage in Tanjung Priok has a capacity of 22,700 meters cubic with a jetty handling capability, and is serving HSD demand of mining companies operating in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
